Competition Overview
Dancers from 12 countries are competing this year. The competition is open to watch, and tickets to the theater can be purchased below. The performance schedules will be added as PDF files, which you can download.

General competition information
AmsterDans International Competition offers the possibility to enter in three age groups:
​
children 8-11 years old
juniors 12-15 years old
young adults 16-26 years old
​
In each age group, dancers may compete in the genres ballet or modern contemporary dance. And in each genre, the following sections are possible (with multiple entries allowed):
​
- solos
- duets
- groups (with a maximum of 18 dancers on stage)
​
There's an additional category for emerging choreographers (adult choreographers, of any age 18+), with a minimum of two dancers on stage and maximum eighteen (of any age); and the choreography may be in any dance genre.
